Hitchhiking in
- If you don't need to enter the city, you can just drive along the M4 without even noticing it behind the pine forests. If you need to get into the city, turn off at the Stupino interchange before the Oka river.
- The "Domodedovo" airport is located on the same railway line. You should take a bus to the "Vzletnaya" train platform and go south from there.
- The railway station receives suburban trains from Paveletskaya direction. Train timetable
- Bus station: 76 Andropova Street. Bus #334 from "Krasnogvardeiskaya" metro station runs every hour. It first arrives at the railway station square, then goes to the bus station. There are also buses #402 and #403 to "Kotelniki" metro via Malino.
Hitchhiking out
North via the Old Kashira Highway
- Those who do not want to pay for the M4 toll road or locals going to surrounding villages and dachas use the "Stara Kashirka". Buses from Stupino: #24, 42, 70.
Northeast, towards Malino via Starositnenskoe Highway
- Starts with an overpass near the railway station. Buses from the city to nearby villages: #10, 22, 28, 30, 71, 72, and minibus #9.
South to Kashira via the M6 parallel road
- Bus and minibus #43. Or take the suburban train for one stop.
South towards Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don via M4
- Bus #57 goes from Stupino to Kashira via M4. It's better not to get out at the Stupino interchange, but cross the Oka river, where there is a large police post (DPS). This is a great hitchhiking position: streetlights, a wide shoulder, and police presence. After the post, down in the lowland, there is a strong freshwater spring. The only reason to leave this key position with a local car is if you need to go to Volgograd or Astrakhan — the turnoff is a few kilometers further.
