Around IKEA (Furuset) is an area where most trucks start. There is a "Statoil" petrol station on the [[E6]] direction North which can be reached walking from metro station "Trosterud" (Metro lines 1 or 2)
You can either catch the Metro or the free Ikea shuttle bus to get there. Both will be about a 400-500 meter walk.
With This is a superb spot for heading north/northwest: a "Circle K" petrol station on the [[E6]] direction North which can be reached with the free IKEA shuttle bus. This blue bus is leaving from Fred Olsens gate 5 every hour on the "o'clock". It operates from 10.00 until 22.00 on weekdays and from 09.00 until 20.00 on saturdays. You could also jump on the metro take line 1 or 2 to the stop ''(Trosterud'''. From Trosterud go out) at earlier/later hours, to the left, left again down the hillsundays and it leaves at higher frequencies, over the footbridge and continue down and you are behind the gasstationbut that would cost a one-zone ticket of 35 NOK.

Hitching out of Oslo is usually difficult from the city center (except going south). There are several motorway entrances behind the tunnel. The further outside the city you are, the easier it gets.

The IKEA shuttle bus goes once per hour Circle K is 10 minutes walk from Dronningsgate near the main station directly to IKEA. From there Once you can are at IKEA just walk back around the building to the streetit's right side, turn left (south-west) turn left at the second roundabout and then cross you'll se a pedestrian tunnel taking you under the E6. The Statoil station then is Straight on the other side, look to your left and right, a pathway following the highway takes you directly to the spot. When going north, you can quite easily find a ride here. Anyways, for shorter rides, the first good petrol station on the highway is called "Skedsmokorset". You might be reached by offered rides to the next street on your leftOslo airport, in case you are trying to get further, make sure you jump off at Skedsmokorset.
