This can be reached by the number 308 bus from Limerick City Centre (Outside the Peter Mark hairdressers on William Street) for around 1.50 Euro. From the 'Kilmurray Hotel' stop, you walk up the motorway for 20 minutes until you reach the second roundabout after the Finnegan's bar (this is located on the right side of the road as you walk up) or you can call to the nearby petrol station to ask somebody for a lift to there or beyond. When you arrive at Finnegan's bar, you continue walking and find a spot to stand on the side of the motorway behind some yellow lines. We waited for 2 minutes with a sign at this spot and got a lift to Dublin city. It is defintely the best place to go to even though the walk is relatively long.

Get the 302 bus to Caherdavin. Turn right and walk down the road to the Fern Dale roundabout. There is space on the cycle lane near the Ferndale round about for cars. It is also good to go the petrol station nearby and ask people there for a lift.

But a lot of traffic just stop in the petrol station or in the shops around. If you cant get a lift from the Fern Dale roundabout, you can walk 5 minutes until the next roundabout. After that one the road goes directly to the N18 road (to Ennis, Shannon and Galway). There is plenty of space after this roundabout. We got a lift to Ennis in 5 minutes with a sign.
You can also walk across the bridge beside Jury's hotel and about two minutes further on until you get to the traffic lights. This is only a short walk out of the city centre. The road that crosses the bridge is called Condell Road and is the N18.
