Minneapolis is a traveler, the largest of the Twin Cities, the 14th-oriented townlargest metropolitan area in the United States, containins approximately 3.8 million residents. Minneapolis lies on both banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the river's confluence with the Minnesota River, and adjoins Saint Paul, the state's capital. Hitching shouldn't be difficult near the university. If you're headed north, stand on the southwest corner of the intersection of SE 4th St and 9th Ave (?--not sure name of road that runs parallel and west of 35W). Cars stopped at the light will have time to pick you up.
