Perhaps the best A good spot for getting rides out of Frankfurt in every direction is on the B8, on the start of the "Theodor-Heuss-Allee" near the centre center of the city. The spot is a bus stop on "Theodor-Heuss-Allee", about 40 metres after a roundabout next to “Messeturm” skyscraper. Take the U-Bahn line U4, or Straßenbahn line 16 or 17, to “Festhalle/Messe”. Or walk from the Hauptbahnhof north for approximately 15 minutes to Messeturm skyscraper.

Underneath the “Messeturm” skyscraper is As of February 2013 there has been construction near here for a roundabout connecting "Theodor-Heuss-Allee", "Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage" couple years and "Senkenberganlage". Take the underground (U-Bahn) line U4, or tram (Straßenbahn) lines 16 or 17, and get off at bus stop has moved further down the stop “Festhalle/Messe”road. The roundabout should be easily visibleEverything else is still the same.

The spot Traffic is a bus stop on the "Theodor-Heuss-Allee", about very busy and slow here every day from 7:00 to 20 metres after the roundabout:00. "Theodor-Heuss-Allee" The rate at which people pick up hitch hikers here is the main road ''without'' reportedly very low (twits will also make a Straßenbahn tram line following along it. It is the road variety of offensive gestures at you so be prepared) but with so much traffic going in the every direction A86/A3 (among others), and the bus stop is under you can eventually get a tall hotelride.

Traffic is very busy here every day from 7:00 to 20:00. The traffic moves slowly. Although this looks like an almost-perfect hitchhiking next good hitch hiking spot, it on A5/E451 in northern direction is still in the centre of a large city "Raststätte Wetterau" and so expect a waiting time of 30–60 minutes. There is a reasonable chance of finding other hitchhikers at this better spotto look for longer rides so try to get a ride to there if you are heading north.

 '''2nd option:''' Take tram No. 17 from Frankfurt DB main train station until the last stop "Am Rebstockbad" ([http://g.co/maps/6h9fe Map]. This takes you about 10 minutes. From the final stop "Am Rebstockbad" you can already see the motorway (A648) which interchanges some 700 meter westward on the [[A5 (Germany)|Autobahn A5]] (north/soutward). When you arrive at the (eastbound) ''Esso'' gas station on the side that leads into Frankfurt - walk westward along the Autobahn and cross at a road bridge 200-300 meters away. Cars that refuel at the opposite (westbound) ''Esso'' gas station will in almost every case travel either northward ([[Kassel]], [[Hannover]]) or southward ([[Darmstadt]], [[Basel]]) on the [[A5 (Germany)|Autobahn A5]].  The next gas station (on A5/E451) in northern direction is "Raststätte Wetterau". It is usually a very good spot for long rides. Twice [[User:Wukk|Wukk]] found a ride after 5 minutes, one straight to [[Hamburg]], one to "Wetterau". :User trt tried here in July 2011, and found almost every car was heading West, not North onto the [[A5 (Germany)|A5]]. Not an ideal place to hitch North from (But apparently great to hitch west).
