[[User:Whisperingofthestars|Jason]] hitched here in April 2008 without problem and traveled 70km through the mountains to Cagliari in two rides in around one hour thirty. People seem to be really friendly.
[[User:TonyPro|tonypro]] and a friend hitched from Alghero to Nuoro over several days, never waiting more than 20 minutes, and usually less than 5. But from Nuoro and Olbia, and aross the north, waiting times averaged an hour or more. This may have been an anomaly, but one of our rides suggested that the idea of tourists in the north is very different than in the south, since the coastline between Olbia and Santa Teresa attracts millionaires from all over the world.
