=== South towards [[Granada]] ===
Can be used to go to Madrid, Malaga and Sevilla too, but it is not the best option. Walk to ''Puente de San Rafael'' (San Rafael Bridge) and then to ''Plaza de Andalucia''. From there, walk down ''Ave de Granada'' which turns into ''Castro del Rio''. Be careful at the end of this avenue, because there is an impoverished neighborhood near there. Avoid it, and this hitchhicking point, after the sunset and in summer siesta time (from june to september from 2pm to 8pm). Passing a plane (!) on your right, you will see a traffic circle and signs that divide the road towards [[Madrid]], Granada to the left and Malaga to the right. Many cars on this road are also going to Sevilla.
For Malaga or Sevilla you can just wait on the side of the road, right before traffic lights, next to a kind of bus station.
At the same location as the entrance to the Autovia for Granada, there is a thin strip of emergency lane - maybe a meter - between the guardrail and the fog line where it's possible for cars to stop if the traffic isn't too great.

Be carefull because in Spain to hitchhick in motorways and its entrances is forbidden.
