This page covers the perceived danger from other humans. How about creating separate pages which deal with extreme climates, such as hitching in the extreme cold in Winter - eg Russia, Northern China, Canada, Scandinavia? There must be people on this site who are well aware of how to protect themselves when stuck outside in this weather. Topics might include sleeping outside, warming up, how to set up camp. What to buy beforehand to prepare for this. Similarly, another page detailing hitching in very hot conditions, like in the desert, would be very helpful.
