According to the Hindu Business Line the [[Tuticorin]]-Colombo [http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/2010/09/02/stories/2010090254341900.htm passenger ferry service may resume soon] (September 2010).
Update; As of Februari 2011 it looks like the ferries will start operating in march March 2011.
