About 10-12 12km away from [[Palermo]] there is national road S121 or N121. Close to city the road is narrow, so there is no place to stand. It is possible to hitchhike onto the island (it means you don't need to buy a ferry ticket), if you hitchhike somewhere before [[Villa San Giovanni]] (I [[User:Artti|Artti]] was 200kmaway) with a [[Signs|sign]] ''Sicily''. But don't worry if you have to buy a ferry ticket, for one footpassenger it's 1.50 euro.
