The euro tunnel crossing is only paid per car, while the ferry crossing is per car + passenger (except some temporary promotion from time to time).

is it really that you pay for amount of ppl in the car?
I hitched from calais to dover - ferry - and I managed to do it, though situation was unusual...
so I am still confused about how to really do it.
Is there any one who has SURE information about that?
