Take the bus number 111 direction '''''La Maxe''''' from for example Boulevard Poincaré (right by the river, about a 10-minute walk from Place de République) and go to the last stop (the ticket is 1,50 EUR). From there walk west, walk over the motorway and walk further on the same street around 2 km until you see a petrol station. When you see the petrol station, it is better to walk about 500 metres further and walk into the station along the motorway (there's a little path that will bring you on the motorway). From this petrol station, it is easy to get rides directly to Lyon or even further.
*Comment* This route seems to not be possible anymore unless you are a bit desperate. I could not find any path going to the petrol station via the motorway and I had to cross a field, a stream and a fence to get to the station. The stream was not fit for traversing so I got wet. I would not recommend going this way ~ Thyge.
