The Macau Special Administrative Region, commonly known as Macau or Macao (Chinese: 澳門), is one of the two special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China.
Hitchhiking out to Hong Kong
You can hitch at the entrance of the bridge going to the Immigration building on Artificial Island (Avenida Doutor Ma Man Kei). If you are lucky enough, you'll stop a car going to Hong Kong through the Bridge. But many cars will just stop to the Arrivals Hall to pick-up relatives. In all cases, you need to pass through immigration on the first floor of the building: ignore the bus ticket machines, and go directly to the immigration offices. On your way out, meet your driver on the drop-off area or find another car by hitchhiking on the road (left side when you exit the building) - experience by SerialHikers, September 2019.
