Hitching out
West towards Erzincan, Trabzon, Samsun
From the main square, walk east along Cumhurriyet Caddesi. The second roundabout is the start of the national road to Erzincan. Walk along a little until you find a nice spot to hitch.
South towards Elazig, Bingol, Diyarbakir
To find the good spot, you will have to walk for some time on the D950 to reach the crossing with Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı Bulvarı. From the city center, you can take the bus K6 or K7 or a dolmuş to Atatürk Üniversitesi.
