: Corrected the html, sort of distance is still wrong, you need hidden right-aligned text spans. Look at my tables! Prino<small>blog, talk</small> 15:57, 22 September 2015 (CEST)
:: And sorry, I may have messed up some Unicode names in my non-Unicode compliant editor. Apologies. Prino<small>blog, talk</small> 15:59, 22 September 2015 (CEST)
:Isn't it about time you start thinking about a somewhat higher cut-off, like over 300/350/400 km? 250 km may have been exciting but with now plenty of (much) longer rides it's not that long any more... Prino<small>blog, talk</small> 23:32, 31 May 2016 (CEST)
:: Wordt het geen tijd om naar bedje te gaan Robertje? ;) --Fverhart (talk) 23:37, 31 May 2016 (CEST)
::: And more on topic: now that I'm hitching less in Germany in favor of France, the 250 km limit has actually become a lot more exciting; France 10 out of 127 rides over 250 km (less than 10%) - in Germany 52 out of 277 (close to 20%)... As for quickly collecting 250+ km rides, try east-west motorways of Poland and Germany... the 250+ rides there are both NOT rare and the average speeds are high so that collecting goes quicker! --Fverhart (talk) 23:50, 31 May 2016 (CEST)
Crossable rest areas
So I just went ahead and created these: crossable green crossable yellow crossable red<br>What do you think? The text displayed upon mouse-over might be improvable. <br>As it is, I actually wonder if the by-country gas station crossability lists are really necessary if we just integrated crossability & the detailed information on how to into the exit lists (it's quite perfect, because afaik the exit list tables have an empty box in between the respective gas stations anyway). On the other hand side of course it'd be a pity to just get rid of them after all the work you've put into them. Maybe keep them as country-overviews on all the highway gas stations rather than just for crossability?--Zenit (talk) 14:28, 28 September 2015 (CEST)

: Great pictograms! Not all Euro motorways are listed on Hitchwiki's exit pages, e.g. those in the UK, Spain, Slovakia, Hungary and Lithuania are not. Am not motivated to create those. Transform crossability pages into completely lists with all stations - perhaps we'll see. Not all exit lists have an empty box between them, in some the stations are in the central column. Guess those are the "one side, serving both directions" stations - so it's all still perfect. Anyway here is the bottom line - I'm not going to spend days and days on this, although I do, so I just do, when I want to. That might mean that I only do what I'm motivated to do ;) --Fverhart (talk) 18:15, 28 September 2015 (CEST)

::Whaat.. you're only gonna do what you're motivated to do? You anarchist! :P I might be motivated to start updating the exit lists for some central European countries such as Germany, France or Switzerland. I guess I'll follow your work of adding also the ones that are non-crossable and then just carry the whole batch across to the exit list. :-) Thanks again for your work!--Zenit (talk) 20:14, 28 September 2015 (CEST)

:: I created all the articles of the motorways and like to make more. But in Spain I got some problems and need some talk to hitchhikers, who have experience in Spain. * A-7 counts kilometers from west to north and AP-7 counts kilometers from north to west, and for parts they are parallel and for parts they change from one to another. How I can connect them? * Is there a need to write up all motorways around Madrid? They build a web, where I cannot see through. * At some motorways the service stations or private petrol stations reside on 20 kilometers long sideroads. Are these important for hitchhiking? --GeorgDerReisende (talk) 12:01, 29 September 2015 (CEST)

::: I'm not familiar with hh-ing in Spain and can't advise you on this. As for the crossability lists, I am not sure if I will make one for Spain given my personal interest and since apparently the density of service stations in Spain is higher than in other countries. I've noticed that the motorway exit lists on Hitchwiki are linked to on some country pages (Germany), but not on all of them. That would be a "to do" thing - which again I do not feel attracted to, because I'm "such an anarchist" as Zenit put it... --Fverhart (talk) 12:27, 29 September 2015 (CEST)

::: AFAIK, Spanish hitch-hikers don't have central online communication channels. If Spain was Poland, you would simply throw your questions into the “Autostopowicze czyli MY” (Hitch-hikers, that's WE) group on FB, and probably get a series of answers within a day. --Fverhart (talk) 12:33, 29 September 2015 (CEST)

: Why the deletions on the A35? Prino<small>blog, talk</small> 13:54, 29 September 2015 (CEST)

:: These stations aren't on the A35 my dear. They're on the A31. Happened before, matter that I forget to remove the remainder of the copy-pasted list. Sorry, but I work as efficient as I can. Anyway, it's rather complete. What's your opinion / experience with motorway bridge restaurants. Are they usually open 24/24 or not? --Fverhart (talk) 14:43, 29 September 2015 (CEST)

::: The only two in Germany they are 24x7x52.xxxx, in Belgium I don't really know. Barchon closes, as does Wanlin, and no experience with any other, but in Belgium most normal ones also close at night! Hey, the stations which aren't listed in the crossability list for A2 (Germany) -- are they just not crossable? Or did you not find information?--Zenit (talk) 12:08, 23 October 2015 (CEST)

: The not listed stations are not crossable, unless I'm really overlooking something! But am pretty sure without checking them, guess I've got some 3,000-5,000 km of hitching experience on that part of the "Warschauer Allee"! --Fverhart (talk) 20:46, 1 November 2015 (CET)

Hi! You wrote: "search it online on Google Books; Hitchwiki does not allow to link directly)" — what do you mean by this? I can see the link right on that very row, though? :-) -Mikael (talk) 00:05, 15 August 2016 (CEST)

Hitchgathering 2019
Hi Frank, i just saw that Traumschule has been removed from the list of suggestions for this year's gathering. Was there a decision making process about this or why did this happen? --Traumschule (talk) 13:26, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
