It will show you how the page/section will look with your changes without saving it, so you can continue fiddling with it until it looks the way you want it to look. It save the admins a bit of time, as they don't have to patrol every individual edit, see the little red exclamation marks on the [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent Changes]] page... I don't see any exclamation marks, but point made. I don't have much experience contributing to Wiki's so feed back, and advice is appreciated.
