I'm an hitch-hiker since July 2011, currently located in Bielefeld, Germany.
My first 'ride' was actually longer ago and no more than 3 minutes in rural denmark. Me and a friend set over with a ferry and then got tired biking, so I struck out my thumb as a joke but the first car stopped. :)
Mentionable trips have been:
Vancouver, B.C. to Winnipeg, Manitoba - 2700km in 4 days (wild camping at night)
Stockholm, Sweden to Bielefeld, Germany - 1700km (CSing on the way)
Bielefeld to Naples, Italy (and back) - twice 1700km (CSing and BWing on the way)
I'm on BW (user Marcell) and CS (user marcel_from_germany).
