Bio: I've been a member and (small time) contributor to this website ever since I've started hitchhiking back in 2010'. Now after continuously traveling for a few years, I'm almost at the 50k hitchhike mark and I'm currently writing a travel/hitchhike blog named www.betweentravelandtrying.com
Although this still isn't much compared to many other hitchhikers, I'm determined to inspire others to hit the road. To show people what amazing adventures await them, if they just give it a try.
Stats: - First hitch = Ghent - Barcelona 2010, for the Belgian hitchhike competition "Route du soleil"
- longest hitch = 5000km from Ushuaia (Arg) - Sao Paulo (Brazil), took me 6 days crossing 3 countries
- slowest hitch = Warschau - Vilnious 500km 3 days..... :(
- Longest time one driver = Saint Petersburg - Moscow 800km
- Favorite hitchhiking country = Thailand (love sleeping in the trunck!)
- easiest hitchiking country= Korea (1-2 min for a ride)
