''please add info''The northern E4 interchange is an ideal place to hitch cars heading north and possibly (but less likely) south too. From the central station, catch the bus 3 or 4 then change to bus 1 to reach the stop Uppsala Takpannegatan. Here there is a Circle K petrol station and many fast food outlet where cars from the highway stop. Walk over the grassy hill behind the Circle K and you are on the road leading to the interchange. There is plenty of space for cars to stop in the emergency lane, and traffic moves slowly thanks to the series of roundabouts. It is a good idea to use a sign as some traffic will be heading south.
