Hitching In
'''Ubud''' is a town on the Indonesian island of [[Bali]], located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency.
==Hitching OutHitchhiking out ==Hitching out of the center of '''Ubud''' proved to be almost impossible for someone with a European/American complexion - lots of taxis stopped and any car or motorbike that stopped suddenly turned into a taxi.
==Hitching In==Hitching into But it is possible to hitch out of '''Ubud''' from places elsewhere if you walk west out of Ubud a couple of kms until you get to the north-south road called Jl. Raya Tebongkang (which goes between Denpasar and Mt Batur). One hitchhiker hitched a pickup truck on this road heading south in Bali was easyabout 5 minutes, no official or unofficial taxis stopped either.   == Nomadwiki & Trashwiki == {{nomadwiki}}
