== Nomadwiki & Trashwiki == {{nomadwiki}}If you are in a big hurry because your visa expires, a taxi from the train station will take you to the border. The driver will start at $100 for two people, but you can quickly negotiate down to $60 (or even $40 if you are patient). Just make sure they will really take you to the border, and not just to Garabogaz; the last 50 km after Garabogaz are over unpaved road and would cost you an extra $10 if you are hurrying and need to get a new taxi.
It is possible to sleep at the beach in the nearby resort town of Awaza (approx. 10 km away), at least when it is not high season.Simply get the city bus 6 towards [[Awaza]] from the stop in front of the train station (Wokzal). It costs 50 tonne and passes every 20–30 minutes. You will also be nearer the roundabout where you can hitchhike north towards Garabogaz and the Kazakh border. The place is not really thought for hitchhikers, but there are comfortable places at the beach. In front of the Tajrish hotel it is possible to camp sheltered from the sun by an umbrella. Ask the bus driver to drop you there or anywhere near the beach.
