: My intention is not to build a rideshare app. I'm an active hitchhiker myself and would agree with said editors. What I propose is a mobile app that a hitchhiker can take a photo of a driver's license plate. That photo is then stored remotely for those with permission (friends and family) to access. The photos would use geolocation so that the travelers physical progress could be tracked. The app would also have a check-in and panic button (in case of emergencies).
