Some info about serbia and belgrade...
Hitchhiked in spring 2007 through [[Serbia]]. I got into [[Belgrade]] fairly easy with one ride almost all the way from [[Zagreb]]. But going from [[Belgrade]] to [[Nis]] was a bit harder. I only got short distance rides. It is expensive for drivers to pay the toll on that road from the north of Serbia to the south and there is not a lot of traffic (appr. 10 euros). Hitchhiking seemed to be less common as in [[Slovenia]] and [[Croatia]]. I got stuck in the middle of nowhere just off the highway and I had to ask drivers to take me just a short distance. From there I just hitched from the shoulder.
