I've seen The Hitcher (2007) last weekend and I liked this movie. Yes, I can imagine it frightened some people to take hitchhikers (people have weird ways of thinking!), though the movie itself was pretty hilarous, exiting, also weird (so probably a lot of people liked this movie). --[[User:Fverhart|Fverhart]] 10:47, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I also added Und nachstes Jahr am Balaton (GDR(DDR), 1980), a film from former East-Germany, and I imagine that hitchhiking was very common and part of daily life (outside the cities) then. But I'm still waiting for my first lift in a Trabant. --[[User:Fverhart|Fverhart]] 10:47, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
