Suffolk is a county in the east of England, bordered by Cambridgeshire to the west, Norfolk to the north, and Essex to the south. Mostly rural and full of small towns and villages, its main large towns are Ipswich (the county town), Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft. Other towns include Woodbridge, Stowmarket, Sudbury and Felixstowe. The A12, the main road from London to Great Yarmouth (in Norfolk), runs through the east of the county, passing by Ipswich, Woodbridge, Saxmundham and Lowestoft. The A14 runs from Felixstowe to the junction of the M1 and M6, passing by Ipswich, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
