:NOTE it may seem tempting to use the spot just outside Černy Most station, as it has a lot of traffic passing through and an excellent area to stop where people drop off and pick up from the station but this spot did not work well for me. I made a sign for PL as I was heading to wroclaw, I had no luck for more than 4hrs wait, in the end me and another hitchhiker who also came to the spot ended up taking the bus. The spot may work but much earlier in the morning and in small steps. I think it is advisable to make a Hradec Karlove sign then from there head to Poland. There is not much Polish traffic between Prague and Wroclaw. (Antonopa) (07/2016).
Take metro line B (yellow) to ''Zličín''. Then take bus 307, 308, 311, 380, or 602 to stop ''Rudná, škola''. (The ticket costs 18 Kč, ≈€0.66; 1 zone out of Prague). Walk 60m back in the direction the bus came from and turn left into Na Přídělu street. You should see the petrol station in the distance. Walk 350m to the end of the street. There will be a footpath towards the petrol station 150m away. You need the opposite direction so get to the other side of motorway by the tunnel under the motorway on the right.
It's a fairly big service station with McD and enough cars.

It's good to have a sign at this road and definitely for direction south. Every bigger petrol station on [[D1 (CZ)|D1]] is good for hitchhiking.

Take metro line C (red) to ''Chodov''. There is look for the big shopping centre; try not to get lost there and find the road "Roztylská" going through it. Easily reachable petrol station, not a lot of traffic thoughand is sometimes enforced by a employee in Shell uniform. Good Has cover for in bad-weather or snow conditions. In all honesty this station seems iffy.There isn't much traffic on both gas stations. Both are not advisable.You can try standing at the ramp to the motorway just outside Chodov Mall. First go inside, to floor 0. Walk to the easternmost part of the mall, there use the elevator to floor -2. In the parking house, walk east to the exit. There's the ramp. You might have to wait long for a ride. We gave up after an hour.

Take metro line C (red) to ''Opatov''. Exit straight out of the station and take a left following the winding red ramp up to street level/the road above. From the bus-stop next to the Replay shop, take bus X363 for 24kr (not a bus 363 ) to stop ''K Sukovu'' (buses leave every 15-30 minutes). Continue on the main road where Bus went and the street will turn kind of right into Formanská and then 20 mtrs ahead it splits into left and right. Stay on the Left Road right hand/main road and cross the bridge over higway highway and on the right is a lane pathway going down to the Mc Donalds + Gas Station on the higway. The best jackpot a hitch hiker can hit. , going over motorway bridge. <br />
This is the first motorway petrol station past Prague, really Best hitchhiking spot but takes extra time to get there. Also, you have to show a valid ticket or buy one from driver for the bus trip!
