At Raststätte Fürholzen I only needed 20 mins or so Pass under the railway to find a lift to nearby Würzburg (the side where I found another lift to eventually get me to Bremen). Many cars were going the trains head back towards Munich City and walk the bike path along the railway in the direction of you arrived by train until you reach the first bridge that goes over the railway (around 100m). Shortly before the Netherlandsbridge, some going turn left to reach the road coming down from the Northbridge (Paul-Käsmeier-Straße). I hitched on a Sunday, so many cars were full already At this crossing (<s>marked with passengers and bagsB in [http://goo.gl/maps/AOYSz this map]</s>) as people return home from vacations. Still, you can hitchhike easily to the spot were full of cars next town Günzenhausen and there were some with empty seatswalk towards Fürholzen. This road will pass under the motorway.A few meters later you''ll find a small road to the petrol station "Fürholzen Ost" (<s>marked as C in the same [http://goo.gl/maps/AOYSz map]</s>).

The busy Holzkirchen petrol station on the autobahn is one of the last opportunities to buy the windsheild sticker required for the Austrian autobahn so this spot has a lot of traffic. Getting there takes over an hour ( 30 minutes min on the S3 train and a 3.5km walk - if the weather is good the till Holzkitchen than walk is nice though) but it's easy to Foching town find a lift once you're thereSchmiedstrase turn left walk till concrete rouds end / cross. Take Petrol station is on the right Around 5 km walk  OR  30 min on S3 (direction Holzkirchen) and get out at train till Otterfing. Walk in the same direction your train was going for 200 meters then turn left over the bridge (''Bridge currently under construction - August 2014''). Follow this road (Kreuzstrasse) for 2.5km through fields and a forest until you reach the Autobahn.  Turn right just before the road goes under the autobahn. Follow this road past the solar panels until the entrance of another tunnel under the autobahn, from here you should be able to see the petrol station ahead.  Cut through the field to reach it (you don't need to jump any fences, to enter walk around the fence, to exit use the gap where the fence changes design). Around 5 km walk

The A96 begins inside of Munich. Close to the on-ramps of the motorway there is a petrol station (Aral, on Garmischer Straße) that is frequented by many people before they go onto the motorway. It's pretty big  From Heimeranplatz bus line 63, direction Forstenrieder Allee. Exit at stop Garmischer strasse and the traffic flow is good therewalk for few minutes. I got a lift to Konstanz within 20 minutes of waiting there.

From the central railway station (''Hauptbahnhof''), take tram S2 towards ''Petershausen''. Get out at ''Obermenzing''. There along the street you can either walk the 2-3 km towards the motorway, or take bus #143 towards 4 stops to ''Blutenburg''. (Can't recall final destination/name of direction)

The bus #143 stop is across the road from the S2 exit. If the bus is not leaving for a while, you can easily hitchhike at the traffic lights nearby. I would advise putting 'Augsburg' on the sign. There is a service station, Rasthof Augsburg, just before this town, which is '''closed as of May 2013''', expect a long waiting time at Augsburg - as long as Rasthof Augsburg is closed it's better find a ride all the way to Ulm. '''Update:''' When Insa and [[User:Jan|Jan]] were at the Augsburg station on 15 May 2013, the construction work was apparently just finished. Still, Apparently the spot is a bit hard – but its quite a big station -but if you go around and ask people you should manage.

It's a wagenburg (place where people live in their campervans). Usually they are open for travellers and they have guest van for sleeping, but come to this place not so late and firstly meet with a people. They also have a lot of place where you can put a tent. You can find there freeshop with books and clothes.
