If there are some tags there, you know a few people have gotten rides there. If not, it might not be such a hot spot. I know in MSP that when i wander from near the Target Center up near where that mural on the wall near the I35 that is blue with a rainbow, is a pretty good spot. Don't worry if they only go to Forest Lake or Hinkley, ive never waited more than an hour for a ride. Having a sign does help, but usually anyone at those [[petrol station hitchhiking|petrol stations]] are headed a long way anyway. From [[Duluth]] up the north shore, take the city transit to Lester Park and get out around 60th Ave E. There is a Jubilee grocery store there. If you walk Superior St about 1K you will get to Highway 61. Right where it connects to London RD. There is a turn off to the "old Highway" and the last street lamp. I have gotten rides there so many times I can't remember. Just keep in mind that most traffic is work related, so in the afternoon is good, but forget about Sunday nights. Also from Two Harbors headed North go just by the campground and you will find a good spot. Heading back to Duluth there is a SuperAmerica near the cemetery and I stand just past the stoplights.
