Changes

The local tourist area is malate. Get to remedio circle (close to MRT/LRT stop pedro gil). There you have lots of hostels.

A very cheap quiet and clean one is the following: At remedios circle ask for malate pension (well known, very nice but not so cheap (around 8$)). Right at the pension there is a small back street - right before the pension if you come from remedio c. Take this street and 30m on the right side there are two small nice pensions for 5$.
