==== On-ramp of the motorway at the edge of the city ==== Not many cars go in this direction, and the ones that do usually do not enter the motorway here - this on-ramp mostly serves inter-urban traffic, so you might have to wait a lot of time. == Sleeping =='''Option 1: Rest stop Barje - South (Jug)'''
It This service area is possible to sleep on the Ring around Ljubljana and is very well-served by a lot of long-distance drivers. To get there take a bus number 1 or 1B in direction of "Dolgi most" from the center. Get off the bus on the stop "Mestni Log" and walk back in the upside part direction of Tivoli park which is half an hour walking from the city centrehighway. When you reach the overpass look for a very small and steep pathway on your right, starting next to the overpass. It is not so flat terrainDescend down to the fence, but if turn right and walk a few metres untill you reach an unlocked door. When you search well 're on the other side of the fence, you should find nice spots, clean, safe already be able to see the rest stop. Follow the pathway for another 100 m or so and there you are. There is a shower for 3€ and quietplaces for wildcamping around.
It * [[User:MartinJ888|MartinJ888]] August 2022: Works very well. The door is possible still unlocked! Took us about 1 hour to sleep in ''Metelkova mesto'' (at the intersection of the street ''Metelkova'' and ''Masarykova'') on the grass between Jalla Jalla Club and Tiffany Clubget a ride, asking people.
It might be possible to sleep in the locker room of the train *[[User:JackMcJackJack|JackMcJackJack]] August 2023: This gas stationand has been demolished and people rarely stop here, avoid this place. The on ramp beside the Lidl on Pot Rdečega križa is a policeman just comes in the morning saying "Wake up"20min walk away from Mestni Log bus station. Most people here are heading south, but on occasion security people have entered and told that it's not possible we found a ride to sleep thereŠmarje - Sap gas station after an hour.
You could also sleep near the Sava River, it's a bit far from the train station, but it's unlikely that anyone will bother you. Take bus 19/19B till the north end "Tomacevo" and then take the road that goes down and turn right, you should get out of the city and pass by some farms and there you have the river where you can even swim if you have the bravery.'Option 2: Highway entrance Barjanska cesta'''
== Internet ==Catch bus 9 in direction of "Barje" from the center or the train station and exit on the final stop "Barje". You can hitchhike next to the parking lot or walk down the "barjanska" street and try to find a better place. That's the entrance people from Ljubljana would use to enter the highway going south, so this spot might be less suitable for long distance picks, but perfect to get you to Novo Mesto.
There is free "Wifi Ljubljana" everywhere in the center that you can request a code for by using your mobile phone number. Foreign numbers work fine as well. '''Option 3: Highway entrance Rudnik'''
Most Not many cars go in this direction, and the ones that do usually do not enter the motorway here - this on-ramp mostly serves inter-urban traffic, so you might have to wait a bit longer. From the city centre take a bus line 3 in direction of "Rudnik", and get off at the final stop. In front of you there will be the motorway entrance. Cross the street and on the side of the on-ramp road, on your left, you will see a small asphalt surface where all the cars pass, and there you can stand and hitchhike easily. Pay attention that you're hitchhiking on the highway entrance (the left turn) and not on the coffee places also provide free wifiold road (Dolenjska cesta), which is continuing straight ahead. Drivers going to Kočevje and Ribnica use this entrance.
Additionally, At the back of the train station, right before the tracks, there is a tourist information computer which can be used for free internet surfing by clicking in the search tab, typing what your looking for, and finding it in the results (there is no URL bar provided).== Sleeping ==
You The best option in a walkable distance from the city centre would be park Tivoli. It is huge so you can also go easily find a good place to the Faculty of Arts which is on Aškerčeva 2hide and set up your tent somewhere. There are computers on the left and right on the ground floor but People often drink there are more in the basement. They don't have evening so it might be a password. They also have coffee machines were good idea to sleep in or at least close to the forest, so nobody will bother you can get a coffee (kava) for eur 0.25. (Nov 2010)
There Edit: if you go to the forest behind Tivoli, be prepared for it is also steep. Go there during daylight and plan in enough time to find a McD at suitable spot. If you go until the train station bag side of the park (just before the forest starts) and in go west you'll reach a little staircase out of stone. Climb it and you'll find a calm spot to spend the city centre that as always provides Free-Wifi.night
== Eating ==Another place is up the castle, close to the antena. Just follow the path going away from the castle entrance and it will take you to a small meadow and a small forrest. There is a bigger chance to be spotted here.
There is a market from Monday to Saturday at southern bank of river (vodnikov trg). It closes between 16:00 and 17:00 and there is always a lot of fruit and vegetables after the vendors. >> better check == Nomadwiki & Trashwiki !==
There is "Pizza Burek" which is a speciality from there, and a local made us taste the best seller in town, located in the Prazakova Ulica near the Bavarski Dvor bus station, for eur 2.30, it not the cheapest, but it's really really good. It's quarter a pizza with mushrooms, and lot of things in it, but you should definitely try it ! ''Note: The place is called Olimpia burek, if you are asking the locals.''{{nomadwiki}}
== Public Bicycles ==
http://en.bicikelj.si/ - 1€/1week subscription for tourists. All you need is a Credit/Debit card and you can register online. Each first hour of use is free and you have to lock it again for at least 5 minutes before you can use it again. Some bikes stations are far off the center and not so far from the hitchhiking spots so it is a good alternative to get there instead of paying for the local bus. (May 2017)
