Very Easy actually. The Panamerican Highway leads right through the city and there is a place called "cuatros bomberos" with a redlight where all the traffic from [[Nicaragua]] to [[San JoseJosé (Costa Rica)|San José]] and from [[San JoseJosé (Costa Rica)|San José]] to [[Nicaragua]] stops. Thats your place to hitchhike - just choose your direction.

Not really needed but there are busses on failry fairly cheap rates going to the surrounding suburbs of [[Liberia]].
