A good day to get a ride The best place to start heading towards Oslo is probably the [[rest area|service station]], Stigs Center There are a Sunday since many Swedes are home in Göteborg over few buses which go there, the weekendeasiest one is bus number '''47''' towards '''Tuve''' that leaves from '''Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen''',  The bus stop '''Stigs Center''' is directly on the onramp to the motorway so you just step off the bus and on Sundays head back hitch! Great spot to Oslo for workgo north towards Stenungsund or Uddevalla, right before both these places there are major rest stops with petrol stations where lots of Norwegians and trucks headed into Norway stop.

There's a very good hitchhiking spot right aftera on E45, after a crossing 2 3 km west from Hammarkullen, which is on the way with the tram to Angered. There used to be a bus stop right after the crossing with traffic lights. Now it's just a good spot for the cars to drive aside while coming going at low speed. The closest tram stop is the one at Hammarkullen on the way to Angered, number 8 (purple) goes there. If one has a period card and can wants to go with by bus, then the stop is Eliebergsvägen with bus , it's right next to the spot. One can get there by taking 401 from Angered takes you right next to itor 173 from Nils E-terminalen. Most people take this route instead. A good spot is bus stop Kallebäcksvägen [http://goo.gl/maps/V1ggx] (Take bus 50 there or a tram to Elisedal and walk five mins). The best spot to hitchhike is near the sign "Jönköping"(5 minutes walking from bus stop "Kallebäcksvägen"): that is the right direction to Stockholm. The same road will bring you to Borås and to Göteborg flygplatsen (airport). Note that in case a driver is just going to the airport, it is good to know that near the entry/exit of the airport there is a station service which is a good spot too (me and a friend successfully hitch-hiked from there to Uddebo, a small "hippish" village near Tranemo).

To get to Munkebäcksmotet from The Central Station take bus number 513 or 515 to direction Polhemsplatsen (costs 16996942) point may not look like much,50 SEK but it there is possible to blackride as well). Or take the tram to Munkebäckstorget and walk north 10 minutes from there. Many have difficulties getting anywhere a lot of heavy traffic entering this on-ramp at all from times. The reason why this exact spotworks particularly well is because of a traffic light that naturally stops the vehicles that turn in here. It is very difficult since most people travel very short distancesIf you stand just alongside where they're turning in, mostly they'll have time to Lerum see you and Partillepull out of line onto the tram tracks for a few seconds. Munkbäcksmotet A possibly better spot is Munkebäcksmotet (marked on map), a bus stop on just before the sliproad going down onramp to the motorway. You can stand at Either take bus number 513 or 515 in the bus stop if theredirection ''Polhemsplatsen''s nobody waiting for (a busticket is 16,50 SEK (outdated price, it is now 20 or so SEK), but it's probably better is possible to stand uphill 10 blackride as well) or 20 metres from take the bus stop, so that cars dontram to ''Munkebäckstorget't think you're waiting for a bus and have time walk north 10 minutes from there. Commuter trains to react Alingsås also stop at Sävenäs right across the E20 (2 min walk) and might be the easiest blackride from the city centre. Most drivers are going only short distances, and then pull in the towns they go to are virtually impossible to hitchhike out of. Try to get to Alingsås, where the bus stopmotorway ends and you can hitchhike directly on the roadside, there are very few good onramps between Göteborg and Alingsås. Using a sign will also help This option is probably better if you look less like are going to a person waiting for a busplace near Göteborg, especially before Alingsås.

To get to the hitching spot you just walk under the tracks traintracks and continue for forward another 100 200 meters or so until after you cross under the highway where you and then turn left directly and follow the highway for about 5-10 minutes. You'll walk past Ikea and and supermarkets, IKEA until you see a petrol station which, though it's by the highway, has almost only locally bound traffic on so don't expect to muchOKQ8 gasstation. Instead just walk up Either hitch at the hill and hitch gasstation itself or at the onramp on-ramptop of the hill.  Any ride that's 5 will take you 10 km or more kilometers further is good as it will take because that would get you to [[the gasstation '''Sandsjöbacka]] rest area ''' which is one of the best places to find a ride to directly to [[Malmö]] or even [[Denmark]] and [[Germany]]. Bear in mind that Sandsjöbacka is the last rest area gasstation for at least 60 kilometers that's on the highway so it's much recommended to stop there to avoid getting stuck at almost a small on-ramp somewhere100 km down this road.

''Option 2'' Take the bus ("grön express" recommended, stops by just a few meters from the trucks) to "Stigs center" north of Göteborg. A lot of trucks stop by to pause here and there's a good chance you'll get a ride. Or if you want to hitch from town, many hitchhikers have found the The petrol station on the large crossing where the road Ullevigatan joins the E20 was is just a 10-15 minute walk from the central station. Some hitchhikers have reported great successes with this spotwhile others have waited very long times to get a ride.

[[User:Liftarkungen|Liftarkungen]] thinks that It is near the best place to start hitchhiking south from Göteborg big stadium Nya Ullevi and if you prefer it there is "[[Sandsjöbackamotet]]"a busstop on the road outside of Nya Ullevi where people can pull over easily, which is situated south of Mölndal. However it is timeconsuming and quit an adventure however that spot only tends to get there. Use www.hitta.se or googlemaps in order to find directions. Or see [[Sandsjöbackamotet]]be good with a good very visible sign so that people notice you actually hitchhiking.

On the ferry to Fredrikshavn, you have 2 3 hrs to find a ride (, try to visit the truckers special area) if you dont find any cars heading south, at least to the excellent trucker terminal heaven hitching spot of Padburg, on the Danish/German border.  However even being in a car on the way to Fredrikhavn you may have to pay a something like 6 euros for the ferry. Or possibly more if you enter as a foot passenger For starting hitchhiking late and going to either places like [[Århus]] or [[Germany]] it can be quite amazing to catch one of the late ferries and end up in Germany even though leaving in the afternoon.
