Hitchhiking the route Berlin - Amsterdam (or vice versa) seems to be very popular among hitchhikers. In theory, the route of 656 km (according to google maps) can be done in 6 hours and 12 minutes by car. With hitchhiking, it's also possible to do this route within 7-9 hours, so it's an easy day trip. This if you're lucky, not hitchhiking on a holiday or being in one of the many traffic jams between Braunschweig and Hannover. Anyway, then you could try Traffic Jam Hitchhiking.

From Amsterdam
From Amsterdam you will follow the A1 towards Amersfoort, Hengelo and Germany. Your best chance is to start at the official Lifterplaats near the Amstel-Station, or at the Petrol-station 50 meters further that road. After you crossed the border near Hengelo it changes into the A30_(Germany) A30, you will follow that road until you'll hit Berlin
