Walk to Puente de San Rafael (San Rafael Bridge) and then to Plaza de Andalucia. From there, turn to the right to Avenida de Cadiz. Use the right sidewalk, and in 500 metres you will see a Repsol petrol station. You can try here or walk another 500 metres to reach another Campsa one. From one of both, try to find a car to Sevilla or Malaga. It is possible early in the morning, in the afternoon-evening there will be a lot of local traffic. Try the option of "Next petrol station on the motorway" or "La Carlota", a town 30 kilometres away from Cordoba. You can reach both gas station by bus (line 9, "Huelva" stop). Calle Huelva is paralell to Avenida de Cadiz.
South towards Granada All directions
Can be used to go Walk to "El Arcangel" Shopping Mall, and from there walk across Escultor Sebastian Cuevas street. Passing a plane (!) on your right, and then the football stadium, you will see a traffic circle and signs that divide the road towards Madrid, to the left and Malaga, Granada and Sevilla too, but it is not to the best optionright.
Walk to Puente de San Rafael (San Rafael Bridge) and then to Plaza de Andalucia. From there, walk down Ave de Granada which turns into Castro del Rio. Be careful at You can just wait on the end side of this avenue, because there is an impoverished neighborhood near there. Avoid it, and this hitchhicking point, after the sunset and in summer siesta time (from june to september from 2pm to 8pm). Passing a plane (!) on your right, you will see a traffic circle and signs that divide the road towards Madrid, Granada to the left and Malaga to the rightbefore traffic lights. Many cars on this road are also going to SevillaA big banner with your destination will help.
For Malaga or Sevilla Be carefull because in Spain to hitchhick in motorways and its entrances is forbidden, so do not get too close to the motorway if you can just wait on the side of the road, right before traffic lights, next want to a kind of bus stationavoid problems.
For GranadaIf you are going to Madrid, you can stop cars after the junction for Granada and Malaga via Jaen, Jaen or Almeria, you can walk down less than 500 meters ask for a ride to the onramp for Madrid and wait for vehicles going on petrol station near the N-432 towards Granadaprison.  At the same location as the entrance Is a very very good place to the Autovia for Granada, there is get a thin strip of emergency lane - maybe a meter - between the guardrail and the fog line where it's possible for cars to stop if the traffic isn't too great. Be carefull because in Spain long ride to hitchhick in motorways and its entrances is forbiddenwherever.
