The best option probably is to have a driver who knows some english translate your most important phrases into chinese characters and write them on a card so you can show them to everybody.--[[User:Worldhitch|Worldhitch]] 17:45, 7 October 2007 (CEST)

Since it is pretty hard to learn the right pronunciation outside of China it might be helpful to write down some phrases in chinese characters so you can show to your driver. Here is a short list of phrases written in traditional chinese characters that are used in Taiwan:

*你去哪裡? -- where are you going?
*我想去。。。 -- I'd like to go to...
*我沒有錢。 -- I don't have any money.
*您走公路嗎? -- Do you take the highway?
*我們在哪裡? -- Where are we?
*可以停車嗎? -- Can you stop the car, please?
*我要下車. -- I want to leave the car. (does not sound as impolite in chinese as it does in english).
