In Kizilay (city center), there is the main dolmus and city-bus station...there you ask around for a bus to Yaskament, but the buses going there leave about 500meters away from that dolmus station, so you just ask around a little bit (it´s across the street, when you cross the main park int he city center). The bus goes about 30minutes and brings you to the start of the highway to Istanbul.

Here you should actually just take a ''dolmuş'' going in direction Kirikkale, of [[Kırıkkale]]; from there you can easily hitch-hike up north to Samsun. You can find such minibuses in Ulusin city centre, next to the Julian column. It is written These minibuses will have a sign saying "Mamak" , the name of the easternmost suburb of the city, on the front glasstheir windshields. They will take you as far as to the highway that goes around ring road surrounding the city.On the part of Along the highway from between Ankara to Kirikkale and Kırıkkale, there is a [[Petrol station hitchhiking|gas station]] at every 500meters half kilometres (thats nope, not a lie!!kidding) a gasoline station, but just check the highway and wave . Waving with your hand (or thumb)and thumbing around these stations work fairly well, and trucks stop easier. If all else fails, than asking you can ask people on at the gasoline gas station!.
