Hitchhiking out

West towards Bingöl, Ankara

To go towards Solhan, Bingöl, Elazığ, and Ankara, you need to get to the Bingöl Road. You can either walk 1 km from Üçyol (the Bingöl-Bitlis Road junction), or take a minibus going towards Emniyet Müdürlüğü, Bağlar, or İstasyon and start hitchhiking from where they drop you off on Bingöl Road.

East towards Bitlis, Van

For Güroymak, Bitlis, Tatvan, and Van, you need to reach the Bitlis Road. You can start hitchhiking directly after walking 500 meters from Üçyol (Bingöl-Bitlis Road junction).

North towards Erzurum

To go towards Varto, Hınıs, and Erzurum, head for the Erzurum Road. By following the instructions for the west direction, you can leave Bingöl Road at its 15th km to join Erzurum Road and continue hitchhiking from there.

If you find a car going directly to Bingöl, using the Bingöl-Erzurum Road for northbound travel can be especially advantageous. Although it adds some distance compared to the Muş-Hınıs-Varto Road, it can save you time and is quite busy as it is on the Diyarbakır–Trabzon route.

Southeast towards Diyarbakır

To travel to Kızılağaç, Kulp, and Diyarbakır, you need to get onto the Diyarbakır Road. Walk 400 meters from Üçyol (the Bingöl-Bitlis junction) to reach the Diyarbakır Road and start hitchhiking.

As Muş-Diyarbakır Road is not very busy, it is recommended to consider taking the Bingöl-Diyarbakır Road. Although it may seem longer in distance at first glance, it will actually be much faster time-wise than the direct route.

Northeast towards Malazgirt

For Bulanık and Malazgirt, follow the instructions for the east direction. The Bulanık-Malazgirt Road branches off from the Bitlis Road at its 30th km.
