Hitchhiking out

North towards Kempten or Memmingen

Option 1 - Kemptener Straße roundabout

The best way to head north onto the A7 is to position yourself at the roundabout at the entrance of town on Kemptener Straße with a sign saying "Kempten" or "Memmingen". See the exact location here: https://goo.gl/maps/pb5ipXwKr9v Pay attention: the next service area is after the Oy exit. Your driver needs to go at least as far as Kempten, otherwise you might end up standing at another on-ramp. It's best to avoid cars only going to Pfronten, Nesselwang or Oy. There is a nearby stop at V-Markt, Füssen. However, if the distance to the starting point is not too far, it's worth taking a walk, as the surrounding landscape is truly beautiful.

South towards Austria

Option 1 - Kemptener Straße roundabout

You can use the same starting point as for going north.

Option 2 - Autohof Huter (Austria)

Alternatively, you can use the Autohof Huter in Austria to get a ride, though it is more difficult to reach: https://goo.gl/maps/SkzmyNU2z512.
