Hitching Out
West towards Poznań, Berlin
- By motorway (autostrada) A2 (E30), from slip road
From city centre e.g. from Nowowiejska-Północna street near Plac Wolności (Square of Freedom) take tram 46 direction Ozorków and get off in Rosanów. The journey takes about 55 minutes (about 20km). The tram stop is located just behind roundabout where motorway slip road starts. There's an emergency lane, so even trucks have enough space to pull over.
South towards Piotrków Trybunalski, Częstochowa, Katowice, Bielsko Biała, Kraków, Slovakia
The best place to hitch out of the city for southern destination is the bus stop next to the hospital of Matka Polska (Polish Mother). You can get there from the city center by bus no. 70 from train station Łódź Fabryczna. It takes about 40 minutes to get there.
North towards Warszawa, Gdańsk
To hitchhike into northern direction, a good place is Strykowska road.
