Hitchhiking out
Walking to the city exits is possible from any district, so precise distances to exits are given.
East towards Sudak
- Any minibus heading toward the Sudak highway (not to be confused with Sudakskaya Street), which is effectively the exit from the city. If you are at:
- The trolleybus station, the distance to the exit is 2.9 km. Walk along 15th April Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, then one block on Lenina Street (100 m from the square) to the roundabout, then along Krasnoarmeyskaya to the next roundabout.
- Sovetskaya Square, the distance to the end of the city is 2 km. See the route above.
- The bus station, the distance to the exit is 3 km. Walk along Pervomayskaya Street to the end, then turn right onto Partizanskaya Street, which will lead you to Sovetskaya Square. Then follow the directions above.
- If you enter the city from Simferopol, get out at the very beginning—ask for Lenina Street. Walk one block on Lenina Street, then the entirety of Sudakskaya Street to the turning circle, after which the Sudak highway (not to mix up) begins, leading to the exit. The distance between the Simferopol entry and the Sudak exit is only 1.7 km.
- If coming from Yalta and the car is going to Simferopol, you should pass the Alushta bypass completely and get out at its end. Then, see the paragraph above.
North towards Simferopol
- Any minibus going to the intersection of Lenina and Sudakskaya. If you are at:
- The trolleybus station, the distance to the exit is 2.5 km. Walk along 15th April Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, then along Lenina Street (100 m from the square) to the bypass.
- Sovetskaya Square, the distance to the exit is 1.6 km. Walk along Lenina Street (100 m from the square) straight to the end of the city, to the bypass.
- The bus station, the distance to the exit is 2.2 km. Walk along Simferopolskaya Street (which is also the Alushta bypass). If you have money, you can take the trolleybus to the traffic police station halfway between Alushta and Simferopol—from there, it is easy to hitchhike to the capital of Crimea.
- If you are entering the city from Sudak, get out at the very beginning—ask for the roundabout on Sudakskaya Street. Walk all of this street, then one more block on Lenina Street, and you are at the highway. The distance between the Sudak entry and Simferopol exit is only 1.7 km.
Southwest towards Yalta, Sevastopol
- Any minibus going to the bus station. If you are at:
- The trolleybus station, the distance to the exit is 1.5 km. Walk along Gorky Street to the bus station, then from the roundabout—along Yalta highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
- Sovetskaya Square, the distance to the end of the city is 1.5 km. Walk along Partizanskaya Street, then turn left onto Pervomayskaya, then from the roundabout—along Yalta highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
- The bus station, the distance to the end of residential buildings is 0.6 km. Walk along Yalta highway, the exit from Alushta, to the first hitchhiking spot you like.
