Persepolis

Locals call it Takhte-Jamshid. Located about 10km from Marv Dasht, which is 35km north of Shiraz, this is one of the most ancient and respected sites in all of Iran. from Marv Dasht, you can try to hitch there, although most of the traffic is taxis, which should cost less than 3000 tomans if you give up. Hitching back is just a matter of asking somebody with a car.
