I'm hitchhiking since I'm 16 years old and ever since hitching it's my mode of transport. Traveling anyway is the big thing for me in life and since I'm 19 I spent more time on the road than at home, wherever that is now. I lived in Germany, Vietnam, South Africa and Uganda and in total I visited 70+ countries, mostly by hitching. Big hitchhiking trips I did were from Hamburg to Singapore via Russia, Mongolia, China and Southeast Asia in 2009-2010, from Germany to Aswan in Southern Egypt through the Arab Spring and the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011 and I crossed Africa from South Africa to Egypt in 13 months. Also hitched all over the european continent from Istanbul to Iceland, Morocco to Finland and the North Cape to Sicily, hitched Japan, the Caucasus region and I crossed Turkey east to west on different routes 3 times.
