Anyway, it's a little bit complicated, no close toll, no petrol station near from at my knowledge... The goal is too find where the cars leaving from the center of Rennes get to take the A81...GPS System propose them to take the "rue de Nantes" toll station just before Laval, you can easily find a car to go on the "rocade" and next A81 however we don't see spots on the maps, maybe Paris there is a petrol station on that avenue, but this I'm not sure...
When I left Rennes Take the metro to the end station ''La Poterie''. From here, it was in is about 1 km walking to the night and I was hitchhiking spot. Start walking on ''Rue de Vem'' to the south. To the left you will pass a big round-abount (yellow point from TerreHappy)huge parking place. Go past one roundabout, cross the bridge over the highway to get to the roundabout on the other side. From this roundabout, there is an exit going on the highway in the good direction, ans I think with a nice place for cars to stop. Use a sign with Laval written on it wasn, if your driver don't want to pay for the best waytoll you can ask him to drop you at the last exit before it from there you can simply walk to the toll station... Find it :) !
IMPORTANT : On the sign put "Laval", because Another option is to go to Noyal sur Vilaine there a transport company operate you can't put "Vitré" no petrol station and no toll before... Don't put like me "Le Mans" too far just ask truck driver at the gate or hitch on the entrance of the motorway next to leave that town ...it.

From heres also possible to find people going back toward Paris, it is about 1 km walking to all the spot. Start walking on ''Rue de Vem'' to tourist comming from the south. To of Britanny taking the left you will N24 pass a huge parking place. Go past one roundaboutby Rennes see the West towards Vannes, Lorient, cross the bridge over the highway Quimper section how to get to the roundabout there but of course hitchhike on the other side. From this roundabout, there is an exit going on direction at the highway in entrance of the good direction, with a nice place for cars to stop.
