Hitchhiking I started around 1980. As a student.
In 1980 my hitchhiking tactics were:
have a haircut, fresh cloths, small bag.
I liked asking lorry drives for a ride.
In 2008 I intensified hitchhiking as I had more free time, and less money.
We married in 2013: "''C'est un belle histoire''".
We live in Lille, France
