*Hey I really liked your idea of the hitchhiking laws by state color coded map that you posted on the main US page. I replaced it with a different one based on more recent information I researched including the addition of Puerto Rico. I think you will find this map to be more accurate. Please follow up with me with any questions as parts of your map confused me. Ie. north dakota and texas actually allows hitchhiking on freeways and montana bans pedestrians on some freeways. Furthermore you seem to have a lot of experience hitchhiking in the US and contribute a lot. Would you want to help me develop pages for cities in the US? I'm working on trying to build a page for every major city that I remember hitchhiking out of. I think the primary information people want to know about the cities is where to go to hitch out of them. :Hey ya! Thanks for updating the map, then. Surprised about Texas, I'd love to field-test that some time :D I clarified some things in the Montana article as apparently it's illegal then to hitch on the Interstate, but nobody gives a rat's ass...<br>About the cities: I don't know how much I can help you there. I tried to avoid cities best I could and when leaving almost always I got somebody to drop me off at a decent Interstate onramp or something... I could give some half-decent pointers for Chicago and for L.A. - do you have any plans for those two? If not, I'll add what I know some time. Thanks for the work you're doing, eh! :-)--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 21:03, 23 September 2012 (CEST)
::Actually I just created the [[Chicago ]] page yesterday. If you have additional info on hitching out of the city, go for it! Regarding Montana, it is similar to New Mexico in that some places allow it and some places prohibit it. I made a thread on digihitch a while back about my findings: [http://www.digihitch.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=13368026&p=90833&hilit=pedestrian+interstate#p90833] I called the DOT in quite a few states, so I'm fairly certain the list is accurate.
