: Sorry for playing around with it in the final template (and also without discussion first), but I think I finished with it now. I agree with most what you say and I do know that Wikis (as most other pages) do like to have a prominent status and do not like when people leave the webpage. However, I do see the Wiki as a tool where people get a) quick and good information they need and b) a place for knowledge exchange. Therefore, it would be good to have those links (AVP, Hitchbase, AutostopGuide,..) at a prominent place. Especially the (Google translated) AVP links, this is for many countries a good (non central western) addition of information and for some countries the only information. Hopefully, it will facilitate more knowledge transfer and cooperation in future (from license discussions to more contribution from other projects). --Alex 17:26, 11 April 2008 (CEST)
:: I guess you got me wrong: I didn't say I don't want these link, I said the infobox is the wrong place for it. The template generates a load of broken links now. i.e. on the page of Russia it points to http://ve.free-travels.ru/articles/item.php?country=of which does not exist. Similar things happen on France and Ireland... I don't want to try more. It simply does not work this way. That is actually the reason why we discuss such changes before we implement them. Please create a template for avp like it's done for hitchbase. I'll remove the links again --MrTweek<small>site, wikitalk</small> 21:45, 11 April 2008 (CEST)
