Wawa is a rural settlement just off the Transcanadian Highway (Route 17) in Northern Ontario, Canada. This settlement is situated just at the junction of the National national Route 17 and the provincial Route 101 to . It goes towards Timmins and Abitibi (Quebec), just half way between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay. Basically it is a no man's land at great hundreds of km distance to any cities where many hitch-hikers hitchhikers get stuck for days.
