Caracas is the capital of Venezuela.
Hitchhiking out
South or West towards Valencia, Maracay, Merida
Take the metro line 3 to "Mercado". Walk to and alongside the highway until you get to a big PDV gas station. Very good spot and easy to access.

East towards Barcelona
Sept, 2024:
We took a metro to La California station, then took a metrobus 03 to Avenida Romulo Gallegos ("Calle 7" stop on Maps.me) and then walked for 10-15 minutes to the point after 2 highways connect into one. 10°29′49.6″N 66°47′33.41″W
You can also took a metro to Petare station and walk a little bit longer from there to the above mentioned point.
There's a small ramp for you to stay, but drivers don't go fast and can stop and you can find a ride. We were waiting for 5 minutes and got a direct ride to Barcelona with a truck.
Later our driver said it was dangerous to stay there as there are bandits in the barrio. The road is really close to the barrio, but is not part of barrio. Anyway we felt safe and did it in the daytime.
