The Kalotina-Dimitrovgrad border crossing connects Bulgaria and Serbia. You can easily walk across.
==Into Serbia==Trucks are separated from cars and buses so it's probably a good idea to walk 2 km away from the border to the point where trucks join the normal road again. It's easy for both cars and trucks to stop. guaka and Erga waited about 40 minutes with a sign "Zagreb" to find a ride all the way there.
==Into Bulgaria==Try If it's Sunday, try not to get a ride to this border crossing by truck. Que for , because the trucks use to be queue is usually very long, so you have the choice to wait in the truck for next 10 hours or to walk up to 5 kilometers. After passing the crossing, there is some restaurant and further after vignete-buy spot where lots of drivers stop so try to catch your ride there. Also, after comming to spot where car and truck trafic is connected, go a bit backwards by truck track to the customs ramp, directly ask truck drivers who stop on the ramp to pick you up and there's big possibility that your catchsome ride by truck straight to Turkey. By the way on this croosing there are lots of dogs who are very courious to passanger, but they are not agressive.
stubAfter you pass the border crossing, just continue straight down, and there are two petrol stations and place where drivers have to buy vignette, so it's very easy to get a ride there, either by asking or thumbing on the side of the road. If you hitchhike a truck, there's a good possibility that you get a ride straight to Turkey. By the way on this crossing there are lots of dogs who are very curious to passengers, but they are not aggressive.
