Fayetteville is a metropolitan area in Arkansas which includes the cities of Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, and Springdale. It is a college town, and, being one of the more open minded places in the state, it should be an easy hitch. The area has an actively expanding suburban population, so it is likely you will do a lot of walking when hitching east or west through the area. Interstate 540 runs north and south with many active ramps, so moving north or south is much easier.
Hitching out
North towards Joplin or South towards Fort Smith
Stand at the intersection of Wedington St. and I540; there is a lot of traffic here. Hall Avenue might be a good ramp also. Don't get stuck in Rogers or Bentonville. If you can get a short ride to Elm Springs road in Springdale, do this instead.
